About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Department Manager to join our team at Spotlight. As a key member of our management team, you'll oversee the entire store, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across your department and supporting other managers and departments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive Sales Growth: Achieve and exceed KPI targets in your department and smash sales goals.
  • Lead Your Team: Deliver outstanding customer service, modelling our values through an inverted triangle leadership structure.
  • Manage High-Volume Stock: Efficiently manage inventory integrity and stocktake initiatives to boost profitability.
  • Execute Merchandising Plans: Align with business standards and launch catalogue campaigns effectively with ticketing and setups.
  • Recruit & Train Team: Build a high-performing department that aligns with our culture and goals.
  • Problem-Solve & Innovate: Address challenges proactively with resilience and a time-management mindset.

What We're Looking For

  • Retail Management Experience: Essential for this role.
  • Experience in High-Volume Stock Management: Highly preferred.
  • Owner's Mindset: Lead your team with pride and responsibility.
  • Positive, Goal-Oriented Attitude: Inspire and motivate your team.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Lead and mentor effectively.
  • First Aid Certification: A must-have or willingness to complete training at our expense.
  • Strong Computer Skills: Manage inventory and reporting tools efficiently.
  • Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation: Work with planograms, promotional activates, and stock rotation.
  • Business Acumen: Work with sales and stock reports daily to effect change.
