Job Description

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for operating various machines and performing mechanical fitting tasks in the repair and overhaul of hydraulic equipment. This includes completing general mechanical and hydraulics tasks to repair and overhaul Komatsu and Joy Global mining equipment.

This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail. You will work closely with a highly skilled team of mechanical fitters to ensure the highest quality output and meet production deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have relevant mechanical trade qualification, post-trade qualification in Hydraulics and Pneumatics (preferred but not essential), and experience working on underground mining equipment. Additionally, they must be able to read and understand technical drawings, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification
  • Post-trade qualification in Hydraulics and Pneumatics (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working on underground mining equipment
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
