Job Overview

We are a competitive swimming club based in Stirling, Scotland.

The Role

A highly motivated Coach is required to work with our coaching team and lead the development of our Potential and Junior Performance squads. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality coaching programs that focus on technical, tactical, and training skills for swimmers aged 11-18.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coaching and Training:
  • Create and implement engaging coaching programs that cater to the needs of swimmers aged 11-18, focusing on skill development and progression towards district, national age group, and national junior academy standards.
  • Develop and maintain squad plans and session plans to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality sessions.
  • Coordinate coaches to guarantee consistency and quality delivery of pool and land sessions.
  • Promote an environment where swimmers can achieve their full potential and progress through various levels.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach on training plans, competition cycles, and performance monitoring to ensure seamless execution.
  • Assist with competition planning to provide regular and appropriate competitive opportunities for members.
  • Evaluate Gala Entries and collaborate with swimmer/parents and squad coaches to ensure races entered align with swimmer development and progression goals.
  • Support the development and organisation of internal club timetrial events.
Requirements and Attributes:
  • Previous coaching experience in swimming with SSCQ/L2 coaching credentials.
  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and training principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
  • Able to lead by example and demonstrate strong leadership qualities as a team player.
  • Passionate about swimming and athlete development.
