Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Technical Artist to contribute to the creation of cutting-edge captcha challenges. In this role, you will collaborate with a team to conceptualize and produce captcha challenges utilizing Blender alongside Python for large-scale image generation. These challenge images will undergo AB testing with live audiences and be evaluated against proprietary machine learning tools to assess their effectiveness against automated attacks. Your contributions will play a vital role in safeguarding numerous widely-used online services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and develop new puzzle concepts, ensuring scalability and sufficient image variation.
  • Conduct validation metrics for puzzle solvability by real users and evaluate the complexity of solving these puzzles through automation.
  • Focus on automating repetitive tasks and promote the development of tools to enhance both personal and team productivity.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in machine learning and cybersecurity to continuously improve our defenses against threats.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with 3D software, including at least 2 years of proficiency in Blender.
  • At least 2 years in a similar Technical Artist role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with a portfolio demonstrating coding capabilities.
  • Ability to think laterally and solve complex problems.
  • Experience with asset management tools (e.g., Perforce, Plastic SCM, GitHub).
  • Proactive in creating internal tools and automation to streamline processes.
  • A commitment to quality and excellence in all deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in cybersecurity.
  • Degree or relevant experience in Game Design, 3D Animation, or a related field.
  • Experience in game concept prototyping and proof of concepts.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and sculpting (Zbrush/Blender).
  • Familiarity with scripting within Blender.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience in data interpretation and validation.
  • Conducting user experience testing.
  • Exposure to machine learning and computer vision.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira.
