About Northern Health

The Role

We are looking for a Grade 3 Dietitian to work under the direction of the Grade 4 Dietitian and Associate Director of Allied Health Dietetics. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that food and fluid provision at Northern Health is safe and meets the nutritional and cultural needs of our patient group. This will involve developing, implementing, and reviewing food service policies, procedures, standards, education, and practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement food service policies and procedures
  • Ensure food and fluid provision is safe and meets patient needs
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Food Service Provider, Environmental Services, and Speech Pathology
  • Provide education and training to staff on food service policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of menus and meal plans
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years clinical experience
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and experience in adult nutrition therapy
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and networking
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • High-level negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
