Job Overview: Trainee Building and Development Compliance Officer

About the Role
  • Support the Compliance Team in an administrative and field capacity.
  • Participate in site inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities.
  • Apply legislation such as the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the Local Government Act 1993.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints with excellent service delivery.
  • Undertake a 1-year traineeship that combines structured learning with formal training for a Certificate IV in Local Government.
The Successful Applicant Will Have
  • A commitment to completing the Certificate IV in Local Government.
  • A current Class C NSW Driver's Licence.
  • An interest in regulatory compliance, land use planning, development or construction.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact courteously.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.

Fully Funded Traineeship Opportunity
