Tower Assembly and Erection Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a Tower Assembly and Erection Specialist to join our team on a major high voltage electricity transmission project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the assembly and erection of towers as part of the project's transmission line construction.

The project, HumeLink West, involves the delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning approximately 140 km from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new substation at Gugaa. This is one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure projects, comprising about 365 km of proposed new transmission lines and various upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the assembly and erection of towers in accordance with project specifications
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian and International standards, technical and management system standards
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve project milestones and deadlines
Requirements:
  • 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Trade Qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Transmission)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships at various levels both internally and externally
  • Ability to work independently, organise demands, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
