Job Opportunity: Site Leadership and Management
">The role of the Area Manager involves leading and directing site engineers, supervisors, and teams working on bulk earthworks projects. The successful candidate will foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring that all team members are empowered to deliver high-quality results.
">Main Responsibilities:
">- Operational Oversight">
- Manage operational activities, overseeing bulk earthworks projects to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality standards.">
- Develop strategic plans for the earthworks department in collaboration with senior management, incorporating improvements in processes and the adoption of new technologies.">
- Innovation and Efficiency">
- Promote innovative practices and technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity in earthworks operations.">
- Construction Methodology">
- Apply contemporary construction methodologies to complete assigned works in accordance with client expectations, company objectives, and contractual obligations.">
- Project Management">
- Develop and present construction plans, programming, and completion schedules to stakeholders.">
- Monitor project progress, ensuring that work quality and techniques meet high standards, and report regularly on project performance against baseline targets.">
- Stakeholder Engagement">
- Engage with stakeholders, developing beneficial relationships between the project and clients, subcontractors, community, and external parties.">
- Team Management">
- Foster a high-performing team to ensure the project's capability to achieve targets.">
- Financial Management">
- Ensure robust contract, commercial, and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of costs and revenue, and corrective action in line with established frameworks to maximize profit margins.">
Requirements:
">- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.">
- Previous experience within a Tier One contractor is essential.">
- Delivery of infrastructure projects, with exposure to Civil, Earthworks, Roadworks, and Rail construction, is necessary.">
- Experience or knowledge in material processing, crushing, screening, and blasting is desirable.">
- Transferable experience from other disciplines is welcome.">
- Prioritization and time management skills are crucial.">
- An understanding of HSEQ management systems, compliance, and reporting procedures is essential.">
