Family Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering support services to children, young people, and families.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality support and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver assessments, crisis support, and therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and families.
  • Develop and evaluate care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with community partners to support families and deliver evidence-based parenting programs.
Requirements:
  • A relevant degree in social work, psychology, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
  • A strong understanding of child protection, out-of-home care, and relevant legislation.
  • Skill in care assessments and trauma-informed practice.
  • Knowledge of challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • A current driver's licence, National Police Check, Working with Children (Blue Card) and Licensed Care Service (Child Protection).
