Support Worker Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide personalized support to individuals in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Your role will involve assisting with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, household duties, and providing social support. You will also be responsible for transporting clients to appointments, shopping, and social outings.

To succeed in this role, you must have a genuine passion for caring for others and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in home care or a similar field is desirable but not essential. A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community) is also highly regarded.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently. You will be required to hold a current NSW driver's license and have access to a reliable, insured vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to clients in their homes, including personal care, meal preparation, and household duties.
  • Assist clients with daily tasks, such as showering, dressing, and grooming.
  • Transport clients to appointments, shopping, and social outings.
  • Provide social support and encouragement to clients to maintain their independence and quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community) or equivalent.
  • Current NSW driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Previous experience in home care or a similar field is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
