About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Boral Cement Limited. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the safe implementation of electrical and instrumentation maintenance plans, overseeing electrical projects and planned major shutdowns, and ensuring electrical safety and compliance of our Electrical Engineering Control Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Systems Management: Manage and provide support to the electrical department, ensuring the performance of electrical and instrumentation equipment meets safety, production, reliability, and environmental targets.
  • Electrical System Functionality: Ensure the full and correct functionality of site electrical systems.
  • Electrical Engineering Tasks: Carry out a variety of electrical engineering tasks to ensure the ongoing safety and reliability of all electrical systems employed on the site, assisting with breakdowns and root cause analysis.
  • Project Management: Develop, implement, and manage upgrades, improvements, and capital works projects as required.
  • Contractor Supervision: Hands-on coordination and supervision of electrical contractors to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Team Leadership: Actively mentor and guide the electrical team, ensuring development and performance is achieved.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within heavy industry.
  • Skills: Ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions by thinking outside of the box to deliver alternative outcomes. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical standards and compliance requirements. Computer literacy and sound analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influence.
