About the Role

We are seeking an experienced technical professional to join our team as an In-House Repair Technician. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support in areas such as operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or post-market development. They will work closely with our service manuals, work instructions, and defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform in-house servicing on a wide variety of medical devices at the S&R Workshop as per AS/NZ 3551:2012
  • Perform maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired medical devices
  • Perform loan return testing and assist with service loan supply management
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, software and systems failures using established procedures
  • Prepare reports for analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues
  • Communicate with field-based technicians for details helpful to failure diagnostics or repair
  • Performs new product testing as part of the Australian Pre-delivery inspection process
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum bachelor's degree in engineering (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical or similar)
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in MedTech or a similar service-related industry
  • Proven knowledge and experience of systems, techniques and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge and understanding of AS/NZ 3551:2012 and ISO 13485:2016
  • Quality and Patient-focused - To be able to put patient safety first by having a quality mindset
