About the Role

We are committed to embedding Indigenous voices and perspectives at the forefront of our decision-making.

As a key member of our academic team, you will teach in the CAS Bachelor of Allied Science Course, specifically in Indigenous Community Management & Development units and Mental Health Principles and Practices. This role involves teaching across several units, imparting Indigenous cultural knowledge and understandings to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students.

Your Responsibilities
  • Teaching Excellence: Deliver high-quality teaching and student support, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation in teaching practices.
  • Student Support: Identify and address student learning needs, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to enhance student outcomes.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to curriculum design and innovation, ensuring that teaching practices align with contemporary educational standards and pedagogical theory.
  • Research Integration: Integrate research into teaching practices, promoting a culture of scholarship and academic excellence within the institution.
  • Outreach and Engagement: Participate in outreach and community engagement activities, fostering strong relationships between the institution and local communities.
Requirements
  • Teaching Expertise: Demonstrated ability to teach effectively, with a commitment to reflective improvement in teaching delivery.
  • Pedagogical Knowledge: Understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline, ensuring that teaching practices remain innovative and effective.
  • Scholarship: Willingness and ability to contribute to scholarship in teaching through participation in teaching and learning strategies and professional development in higher education.
  • Communication Skills: High level communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with a commitment to developing a collegial and supportive working environment.
