About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Project Coordinator to join our Cross River Rail project team based in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing direct labour and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with project plans, drawings, and specifications.

Job Description

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assisting in the development and review of Process Control Plans, Project Instructions, and Work Method Statements;
  • Supervising site works and coordinating between civil, structure, building services, and finishing trades;
  • Planning and coordinating all construction activities on-site in consultation with the Site Manager;
  • Effectively managing and handing over all site works in accordance with documented procedures, programs, and project plans;
  • Maintaining accurate records of site activity against the Construction Program;
  • Coordinating man and material handling requirements for the project, including public protection;
  • Maintaining care and maintenance of all construction plant on-site;
  • Participating in the identification, analysis, and review of the project risk profile;
  • Providing input into constructability reviews of design documentation;
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with direct labour and subcontractors;
  • Managing industrial relations issues in accordance with Branch policy;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification relevant to the field of operation or relevant experience;
  • At least 10 years' experience in construction, with 5 years in a senior supervisory role;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills;
  • Construction coordination and programming skills;
  • Proficiency in computer software, including word processing and email;
  • Familiarity with industrial relations issues and resolution practices;
  • An ability to interpret and apply contracts;
  • A broad knowledge of safety and environmental legislation.
