This role is pivotal in increasing awareness and understanding of mental health services. The position involves coordinating community-based initiatives, representing the organization at local forums and events, and fostering partnerships to solidify the organization's standing within the mental health sector.
About the RoleThe Community Engagement Officer will play a crucial part in promoting mental health services offered by our organization. This includes developing and implementing strategies to enhance community engagement and awareness, collaborating with local stakeholders, and ensuring seamless integration with existing mental health programs.
Responsibilities- Coordinating community awareness activities and events
- Representing the organization at community forums and events
- Fostering local partnerships to support the organization's mission
- Developing and implementing effective strategies to enhance community engagement and awareness
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as community development, health promotion, public health, social sciences, or education, is essential for this role. Alternatively, extensive experience in these fields can be considered.
What We OfferThis is a full-time, fixed-term position until 30 June 2026, with the option for a Rostered Day Off each month. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in their community.
