About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Practice Development Nurse to join our team at GenesisCare. As a key member of our nursing workforce, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality cancer care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement education and training programs for nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in cancer care.
  • Conduct needs assessments and identify areas for improvement in clinical practice, developing strategies to address these gaps.
  • Collaborate with local leadership teams and Director of Nursing to develop and support local strategies to meet clinical needs.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of personal theoretical knowledge, high standards of clinical competence, and professional development through self-education and attendance at relevant courses of study.
  • Initiate and utilize findings of research in the provision of clinical services.
Requirements
  • Eligible for unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Postgraduate qualification in cancer care nursing, clinical education, or similar.
  • Minimum of five years' experience as a nurse in the oncology setting.
  • Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess the skills and experience for positive performance management in the staff development domain.
  • Proven ability to coordinate workload to maximize skills of staff.
