About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Mining and Energy Major Projects team in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery and completion of a heavy haul rail infrastructure project for a tier 1 mining client.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a complex project, collaborating with talented professionals to drive future-ready outcomes that benefit clients and communities. You will be responsible for monitoring progress and performance against the project plan, taking action to resolve problems and minimize risks and delays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan and take action to resolve problems and minimize risks and delays.
  • Monitor and control cost performance against the plan, and develop and implement project controls, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure work undertaken complies with the scope and meets quality and operational requirements.
  • Prepare schedules for design work and obtain approvals for flow sheets and drawings.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Interface with the client and cultivate positive relations to achieve effective communication and collaboration across teams.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in project engineering and management. You will have a Bachelor of Engineering degree and 7+ years of experience in project engineering and management. You will also have demonstrated experience working on rail projects and a strong understanding of the rail project delivery process.
