Job Description

Are you a visionary leader with a passion for driving innovation in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defence technologies? We are seeking an exceptional Centre Director to lead our Centre for Advanced Defence Research and Enterprise (CADRE), collaborating with top Australian universities and defence industry partners.

This is a unique opportunity to shape national defence capabilities by developing cutting-edge research and translation initiatives. As the Centre Director, you will oversee day-to-day operations, manage the Centre Manager, and coordinate with university partners to achieve strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in STEM disciplines, proven experience in delivering complex research projects, and demonstrated success in establishing and managing multi-institutional research partnerships.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A PhD in a relevant STEM discipline, preferably in CBRN defence technologies or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in engaging with government and industry stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in developing innovation and entrepreneurship programs.
