Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Property Lawyer to join our team. As a Property Lawyer, you will be responsible for handling commercial and residential transactions, including due diligence, contract review and negotiations, and managing settlement requirements.

You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of property projects involving subdivisions, easements, body corporate advice work, development and joint venture agreements. Direct engagement with clients is expected, including major developers, shopping centre owners, national tenants, SME's and private investors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a robust workload, including prioritising work and delivering services effectively
  • Developing an understanding of client operations and strategy with the opportunity to contribute to growing existing and new client relationships
  • Conducting effective legal research and analysis to produce timely, commercial and legally accurate advice
  • Continual professional development and managing MCLE requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years PQE in a similar property practice
  • Conveyancing, PEXA and leasing experience preferred
  • A desire to be an integral member of a strong and cohesive team who work together
  • Ability to manage large volumes of documents
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Practical and client-focused problem-solving and research skills
  • Previous exposure to Business Development and a natural ability to build strong client relationships
  • Ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously
  • Interested in establishing a long-term successful career
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels and effectively work in a team
  • A strong focus on turnaround time
  • Commercial acumen
  • Practical and client-focused problem-solving skills
  • A strong, plain language communication style
