Accounting Professional

The accounting professional will provide vital support to the finance function as we continue to grow our presence in the renewable energy sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge of our business while working closely with both local and global stakeholders.

  • Provide financial accounting and settlement support, including preparation of monthly financial closing for multiple entities.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports, including financial statements and commentary, for monthly and annual financial reporting periods.
  • Liaise with external auditors and outsource accounting providers as required.
  • Support the end of financial year and half-yearly reporting process, including coordination with external auditors for completion of Annual Reports.
  • Perform monthly bookkeeping and management accounts for assigned entities, reconcile intercompany transactions, and review all business invoices.
  • Verify documentation and request disbursements for payments on various bank platforms.
  • Co-ordinate payment runs and update the invoice and PO tracker.
  • Prepare the weekly and monthly customer invoices, reconciling generation data and other relevant inputs extracted from multiple sites.
  • Review monthly/quarterly GST filings and annual tax filings.
  • Reconcile collections for customer invoices, assist in updating books of accounts, and update AustraClear reconciliation and revenue matrix.
  • Review fortnightly payment accuracy, coding, and posting in general ledger.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed or commenced Bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting.
  • Intention to complete CA/CPA studies.
  • Minimum 2 years of overall accounting/financial reporting experience (Intern or through university).
  • Excel skills and experience with accounting software packages.
  • An independent and critical thinker with strong analytical ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to confidently interact and work across a diverse skilled organisation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Highly organised, methodical, and efficient.
