Job Description

We are seeking a Volunteer Engagement Specialist to support our efforts in cultivating a positive, inclusive, and values-aligned volunteer experience across all stages of the volunteer lifecycle.

This role plays a key part in strengthening organisational culture by contributing to initiatives that build community, support wellbeing, and promote engagement. With a strong focus on relationship-building and continuous improvement, the Volunteer Engagement Specialist will help ensure that every volunteer feels connected, supported, and empowered to contribute meaningfully to our mission.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of initiatives that strengthen organisational culture and alignment with our values.
  • Contribute to internal culture-building initiatives, including values workshops, and cross-team collaboration efforts.
  • Design and support volunteer lifecycle touchpoints such as onboarding, recognition, exit reflections, and engagement check-ins.
  • Assist in planning and delivering events focused on community, team bonding, and professional development.
  • Assist with documentation and communications that enhance team cohesion, such as internal newsletters, onboarding materials, and wellbeing resources.
  • Support efforts with change management and capability-building across the organisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • No specific qualifications required; ongoing study or qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, or related fields viewed positively.
  • A valid Working with Children Check will be required.
