Water Sector Project Director

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our water infrastructure projects. This senior role will oversee and coordinate all engineering activities, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management

  This involves leading the execution of water sector engineering projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate must develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for successful project delivery.

  Maintaining progress momentum, identifying potential risks, and implementing strategies to address project challenges is crucial.

• Team Supervision and Development

  Supervising and mentoring a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth is vital.

  Conducting performance evaluations and facilitating training programs to enhance team members' skills and capabilities is key.

• Technical Expertise

  The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of water infrastructure, treatment processes, and distribution systems to provide technical guidance and expertise to the team.

  Reviewing and approving engineering designs, calculations, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations is required.

Essential Criteria:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical, Process Engineering, or Design Engineering.
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Extensive experience in the water sector with progressively increasing responsibility, including experience in project management and team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of water infrastructure, treatment technologies, and distribution systems.
• Consulting background is advantageous.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex engineering challenges.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

Compensation: An attractive remuneration package commensurate with relevant skills and experience.
