**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Inspector (FSINS). As a key member of our incident management team, you will be responsible for responding to large-scale urban and vegetation fires and other emergency incidents, providing expert advice and representation at multi-agency events, and undertaking core member training in accordance with the Queensland Disaster Management Training Framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take charge and direct operations in accordance with command, leadership, and management principles during emergency incidents.
  • Provide expert advice and representation at multi-agency events, including tactical and operational emergency management of the impacts on the community.
  • Develop and implement strategies and tactics to enhance operational service delivery in accordance with the QFD Strategic Plan.
  • Represent the QFD at multi-agency events, provide technical advice related to core QFD operational functions, and undertake operational duties that are within the five roles of the Operations' Management function.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current valid Blue Card (from Blue Card Services) and Manual Medium Rigid (MRV) driver's licence as recognised by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
  • Successful completion of all requirements for Station Officer Level 3 qualifications (or equivalent) within the Queensland Fire and Rescue and maintained the operational competencies appropriate to the rank.
  • Professional firefighting experience, incident control expertise, and fire prevention expertise, with the ability to demonstrate your ability to meet the requirements of the rank.
