Medical Officer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Medical Officer to provide high-quality medical services to patients.


About the Role
  • Provide patient care under the supervision of specialist staff.
  • Supervise junior doctors and participate in a rotating roster of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Work at various hospitals across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in consultation with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Requirements
  • Hold a MBBS or equivalent qualification, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Have a minimum of five years postgraduate experience or be a recent graduate with relevant skills and training.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong leadership and teamwork abilities.

Location and Remuneration

Location: Wollongong, NSW Currency: AUD Remuneration Range: $139,187 - $207,388 per annum + 11.5% superannuation.
