Editorial AI Innovation Expert

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Editorial AI team in Melbourne, Australia. As an AI Prompt Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in defining how artificial intelligence communicates with journalists.

Our team has established itself as industry leaders by successfully embedding cutting-edge technology that enhances and never replaces our journalists' expertise. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for journalism and understands modern newsroom operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, testing, and refining the prompts that guide our AI models, ensuring outputs meet the exacting standards our journalists require.
  • Building tools that enhance workflow efficiency while maintaining the integrity that defines quality journalism.
  • Developing and fine-tuning sophisticated prompts that guide AI models to produce accurate, contextually appropriate responses for diverse journalistic applications.
  • Partnering with journalists and editorial teams through structured interviews and workshops to understand workflow requirements and translate them into effective AI interactions.

Key skills required include: AI prompt engineering, machine learning, software development, data analysis, and excellent communication skills. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is essential.
