Chief Technologist

A highly skilled technologist is required to lead the design and implementation of our technology systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of low-latency systems, cloud computing, data pipelines, and regulatory compliance.

• Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand specific business problems and capture detailed requirements for robust solution design.
• Solution Design and Blueprinting: Design technical solutions aligned to architectural standards, selecting appropriate platforms, tools, and patterns, and creating blueprints, system diagrams, and architectural documents.
• Technology Selection and Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend technologies to solve business problems, considering existing technology stacks, scalability, and maintenance costs.
• Technical Leadership and Governance: Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring implementation adheres to architectural design, security standards, and best practices.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, presenting solution designs, benefits, and potential risks to stakeholders.

• Financial Domain Knowledge: Foundational understanding of equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other financial instruments, with knowledge of trading workflows, order management systems, risk management, and post-trade processing.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with low-latency systems, integration using APIs and events, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), data pipelines, databases (SQL and NoSQL), analytics tools, and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Problem-Solving: Analyze complex trading and business problems, identify technical and business requirements, and design effective, future-proofed, and cost-efficient solutions.
