Network Security Architect

This position plays a pivotal role in overseeing Network Security and driving improvement in maturity and capabilities, ensuring the maintenance and development of related security standards and processes, elevating the health monitoring and control effectiveness of city cyber infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the city's Network Security architecture
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful and secure deployment across the infrastructure
- Develop and enforce security policies and Network Security best practices
- Maintain appropriate documentation around NetSec activities, including any risks associated with those actions
- Monitor and manage Network security incidents, including log review
We're Seeking Individuals With:
- A passion and drive for Cyber Security
- Certified network security or equivalent knowledge
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge
- Certification in cyber security products or equivalent knowledge
- Minimum 2 years experience with Network Security technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
- Experience with CheckPoint NextGEN Firewalls
- Familiarity with Cloud Security and large COTS product architecture
