Heavy Diesel Fitter Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the servicing, repair and maintenance of large scale mobile mining equipment.

You will perform tasks such as general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component changeouts to a high standard.

Additionally, you will source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer based systems.

Good housekeeping standards must be maintained at all times.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or similar
  • Prefers experience with excavators, drill or pit fitter experience
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  • Demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT large earthmoving equipment
