Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing tools used in the manufacture of aircraft components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve tooling issues in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and assess Tool Non-Conformance issues.
  • Develop and prepare tooling designs and drawings for new and modified production tooling.
  • Maintain tool configuration control through effective use of database systems.
  • Provide technical support to Tool Quality Assurance.
  • Liaise with suppliers to achieve timely and cost-effective tool modification/manufacture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience using CAD software favorable.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of OH&S implications within the field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows & Office suite of Tools.
Additional Information

This is an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement position.

This role requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
