This role is part of our BMA Engineering team, responsible for managing onsite Electrical Engineering activities. The successful candidate will provide specialist technical expertise to all sites of BMA, ensuring robust change control and document management processes are in place.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the operation's blueprint, change management process, and Asset integrity;
  • Ensuring Electrical compliance to Australian Standards and BMA standards;
  • Providing Electrical guidance and technical support to Engineering, Project Managers, and Maintenance;
  • Reviewing, updating, and approving Electrical technical documentation;
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement of Electrical Assets in collaboration with site and external parties.

As a Senior Electrical Systems Manager, you will be working closely with multidisciplinary teams to build effective relationships and deliver results at an operations level. You will also be responsible for providing specialist advice and executing tasks associated with change control and document management.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering; RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer QLD) qualification is highly advantageous;
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, along with the ability to influence stakeholders;
  • Proven background working in complex environments to achieve results at an operations level;
  • Understanding of engineering principles, standards, and processes, along with drawing management and document control databases.

BHP offers a competitive salary package, ranging from $140,000 to $200,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a range of benefits, including flexible working options, generous paid parental leave policy, extended leave entitlements, and parent rooms.
