Job Title:

End-of-Life Donation Coordinator

The Organ and Tissue Donation End-of-Life Donation Coordinator plays a vital role in facilitating organ and tissue donation after voluntary assisted dying. The coordinator serves as the key liaison between various stakeholders, including OTDS, NSW voluntary assisted dying care navigator service, and local health district VAD teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for coordinating end-of-life donations with OTDS, NSW voluntary assisted dying care navigator service, and local VAD teams.
  • Provide education and resources to stakeholders on best practices for organ and tissue donation after voluntary assisted dying.
  • Develop and implement procedures within OTDS for effective management of end-of-life donations.
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop and publish studies related to voluntary assisted dying and organ and tissue donation.
