Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and caring Allied Health Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to clients in their homes, allied health centres, hydrotherapy centres or relevant communal locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate client programs to address the effects of aging and/or health conditions.
  • Deliver therapy sessions as directed by allied health professionals, ensuring exercises are performed safely and correctly.
  • Engage with clients on a holistic level about their performance and progression towards goals or concerns.
  • Monitor clients during therapy sessions, reporting any concerns or changes to relevant allied health professionals.
  • Modify sessions or exercises within limits prescribed by treating allied health professionals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of Home Care and/or Aged Care industry.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Client-centric approach and willingness to advocate on behalf of clients.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound judgments and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
