About this role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate support worker to join our Home and Community Care team in the Wyndham area of Western Australia.

This position requires delivering personal care to community clients, providing domestic assistance, transport, and social support. Candidates with experience in delivering personal care, such as showering, dressing, and toileting, will be viewed favourably.

As a support worker, you will work in a supportive environment that encourages initiative and leadership. You will be responsible for providing quality care services that cater to the diverse needs of our clients.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care
  • Assist customers with administration of correct medication
  • Assist customers with domestic duties, meal preparation, and other household tasks to ensure safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes
  • Social Support, including transport to shops or appointments
  • Adherence to Client Care Plan
Requirements
  • Current Australian driver's license and reliable car - essential
  • Certificate III Aged Care - desirable
  • Current First Aid certification - desirable
  • Previous experience working in the Community - desirable
  • Understanding documentation and relevant aged care legislation
  • Understanding principles of Occupational Safety & Health and correct manual handling
  • Verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, families, and service providers
