Job Overview

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead our technical team. As a key member of our maintenance workforce, you will be responsible for managing a team of field technicians and providing operational support to staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 4-6 field technicians
  • Provide operational support to all staff
  • Recruit, train and develop staff
  • Fundamental financial oversight and processing
Requirements

You will need strong communication skills, negotiation and stakeholder management expertise, emotional intelligence, and the ability to empower and inspire your team.

About Us

The Observing Operations Hubs comprise 8 Technical Operations centres across Australia. Our staff travel far and wide, utilising various equipment to maintain service delivery within the instrumentation networks.

  • Rain Radars
  • Automatic Weather Stations (AWS)
  • Sea Level Monitoring Stations
  • Wave and Wave height buoys
  • Satellite ground reception and space weather instruments
  • Flood warning/rainfall monitoring systems
  • Cooperative observers, volunteer rainfall stations
  • Communications, telemetry and instrumentation systems
