Automation Technician

Our company requires a skilled and motivated Automation Technician to deliver technical services to customers. In this hands-on role, you will support machine installations, conduct scheduled maintenance, and provide troubleshooting and repairs across automation systems.

The Automation Technician will play a key role in ensuring high-performing machinery and customer satisfaction through timely, professional service and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical service, installation, and repair work on automation equipment.
  • Deliver PLC, touchscreen, and robotics programming/modifications as needed.
  • Interpret AutoCAD circuit diagrams and recommend system improvements.
  • Provide training to customer personnel on equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Complete detailed service reports, including part numbers and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A relevant trade qualification with a current electrical licence.
  • 5+ years of post-trade experience in manufacturing, packaging, or a related industry.
  • Proficiency with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Omron), robotics, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills, customer service focus, and a solutions mindset.
