Job Description:

The Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator is a temporary part-time opportunity for Children. This role involves working Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day with an unpaid lunch break.

This position requires the ability to work according to the Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework, and curriculum frameworks. The successful candidate will collaborate with the team to plan and implement play-based programs, documenting children's learning, development, interests, and abilities, including setting individual and group goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Victoria's Child Safe Standards, demonstrated through relevant experience working in children's services. They will be able to self-manage work requirements in liaison with centre leadership and work collaboratively with other early childhood educators to provide culturally sensitive and inclusive educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing curriculum frameworks
  • Planning and delivering play-based programs
  • Documenting children's learning and development
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve program goals
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent, recognized by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
  • Relevant experience working in children's services in line with Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework, and curriculum frameworks
  • Demonstrated understanding of Victoria's Child Safe Standards
  • Ability to self-manage work requirements in liaison with centre leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other early childhood educators
  • Current and valid Working with Children's Check, First Aid Level 2, CPR Certificate, Anaphylaxis Management, and Emergency Asthma Management certificates
