Job Title: Retail Nursery Worker

We are seeking a friendly and motivated individual to join our team as a Retail Nursery Worker. This role is ideal for someone who loves plants, enjoys engaging with customers, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

The successful candidate will be the face of our nursery, assisting customers with plant selection, maintaining retail displays, and ensuring the nursery space is welcoming, tidy, and inspiring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with plant selection, gardening advice, and product information.
  • Process sales efficiently at the point of sale (POS) system.
  • Merchandise plants, pots, and garden products to create attractive, shopable displays.
  • Maintain accurate pricing and product signage.
  • Water, prune, and maintain plant stock to keep products in optimal condition.
  • Monitor plant health and report issues such as pests, disease, or damage.
  • Assist with general nursery upkeep including cleaning, sweeping, and maintaining display areas.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for plants, gardening, and outdoor living.
  • Ability to work in a physically active role (lifting, bending, standing).
  • Attention to detail in plant care and merchandising.
  • Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.
  • Previous retail, hospitality, or nursery/garden experience desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of horticulture, gardening, or willingness to learn on the job.
