ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a permanent position located at one of our underground coal mining sites. As the Mechanical Engineering Superintendent, you will oversee all mechanical engineering operations within the mine, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while providing expert guidance. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring adherence to mechanical engineering standards in accordance with relevant legislation
- Developing and reviewing engineering procedures for mining activities
- Supervising the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance
- Managing mechanical documentation and audits to align with company policies
- Communicating safety protocols and addressing mechanical hazards effectively
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities across various organizational levels
- Experience in managing teams across multiple locations
- Proven leadership in underground coal mining and mechanical operations
- Strong decision-making skills within cross-functional teams

QUALIFICATIONS
- Certification as a Mechanical Engineering Manager for underground coal mining
- Current practicing certificate for Mechanical Engineering Management
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
