About the Role

RPR Trades is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Superintendent to join their team in Ipswich. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for Supervisors, Tradespeople, and Operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure immediate reaction to breakdowns and urgent work are undertaken accordingly.
  • Monitor daily plant maintenance activities to ensure priorities are met.
  • Ensure shift manning levels meet the plant requirements.
  • Understand the root causes of downtime and implement solutions to eliminate.
  • Assist the Plant Engineer as required and follow up on jobs carried over from previous shifts.

About You

We are looking for an established and experienced trades background either within mechanical or electrical. Strong leadership and supervisory skills are highly advantageous. You will also need strong organisational and planning skills, demonstrated efficiency with computers and MS Office packages, and analytical and problem-solving skills.

You will be dynamic and responsive, able to build effective professional relationships with various production departments, and have a strong attention to detail.
