About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our client's elite team in Sydney. As a key member of the Data Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in developing, building, and enhancing enterprise-scale Data Engineering solutions in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data warehousing programs using GCP services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and other services.
  • Develop and deploy solutions in data warehouses, leveraging your expertise in ETL/ELT and SQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data modeling.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP services and technologies, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of data-driven solutions, working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
Requirements
  • Strong previous experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on GCP services.
  • Excellent experience in ETL/ELT, SQL, and data modeling (Kimball, data vault, or similar).
  • Experience with event-driven processing and big data processing using GCP Pub/Sub.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
