We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapist/Exercise Physiologist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop and deliver high-quality exercise programs that support mental health rehabilitation.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and facilitating group exercise programs and education sessions. They will also provide physical assessment services to individuals with a wide range of psychiatric conditions in an inpatient setting as required.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct and facilitate group therapy sessions in the gym
- Provide physical assessment services to people with a wide range of psychiatric conditions in an inpatient setting as required.
- Liaise with referrers, multi-disciplinary teams, relatives, and other services as required.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of policies and programs as appropriate.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Essential Requirements:
- Experience in facilitating a range of exercise groups for inpatients with mental health conditions
- Ability to plan, implement and monitor exercise groups
- Experience working with clients with a range of mental health issues
- Degree in Physiotherapy or Human Movement, Exercise Science, Physical Education or equivalent
