We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety & Wellbeing Expert to join our team at the Workplace Injury Commission VIC. As a key member of our People and Culture team, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and employee wellbeing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively coach, guide and provide supportive advice to drive the application of quality health, safety & wellbeing initiatives and programs throughout the organisation.
- Ensure the organisation maintains appropriate health and safety controls & continuous improvement initiatives that address physical risks, psychosocial risks, occupational violence risks and biological risks in the workplace.
- Support the delivery of our statutory Health Safety & Wellbeing obligations while leading & managing a program focused on mental wellbeing and psychosocial risk management.
- Tertiary qualification in a Health & Safety, Psychology or related discipline will be required or extensive operational experience in safety and wellbeing.
- Proven knowledge and experience in mental health, vicarious trauma, suicide prevention.
- Strong emotional intelligence and resilience.
- Experience in psychosocial risk management including continued improvements in how psychosocial risks are investigated and managed.
- Experience in the development, evaluation and ongoing maintenance of strategic and operational workplace mental health and wellbeing systems and programs.
