We're seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our 2025 Qantas Group Engineering Apprenticeship Program as Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.
About the RoleThis is a four-year apprenticeship program that combines theoretical training with hands-on experience in our engineering businesses. You'll work on various projects, rotating through relevant business areas applicable to your trade, and receive comprehensive training on Qantas Group and customer aircraft.
Responsibilities- Manufacture and repair parts to high tolerance for fitment to aircraft and aircraft components using drilling machines, lathes, milling machines, cylindrical and surface grinding machines with computer numerical controlled machinery.
- Work with materials such as Aluminium bronze, aluminium alloys, beryllium copper, stainless steel, titanium, high strength steels, chrome and nickel.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn a hands-on trade.
- High level of motivation and passion to want to be part of the aviation sector.
- Exceptional teamwork skills.
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
- Good hand skills with the ability to use a variety of tooling.
- Australian Citizenship or hold Australian Permanent Residency Status.
- Ability to work all shift patterns.
- Must be available to start work from early 2025.
