A leading engineering firm is seeking a highly experienced and skilled water infrastructure engineer to lead complex projects that will shape the future of Australia's water landscape.
About the Role:
We are looking for a senior civil engineer with extensive experience designing major water infrastructure projects, including large diameter or reticulation pipelines, treatment plants, and pump stations. You will provide expert consultancy and detailed design engineering services for our clients while providing technical leadership for successful project delivery and contributing to winning new work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver complex water infrastructure projects* Provide technical leadership and expertise to project teams* Collaborate with design teams and other technical leaders to create opportunities for growth and development* Balance technical innovation with practical implementation to ensure designs are both excellent and buildable* Maintain commercial awareness throughout project delivery* Mentoring and developing junior engineers* Coordinating multiple engineering disciplines across geographic locations* Developing and maintaining relationships with major water authorities
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent* Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent* 15+ years experience in water and wastewater civil engineering* Strong background in water industry consultancy, civil design, and project delivery* Proven track record of technical leadership for successful delivery of water infrastructure projects* Comprehensive knowledge of safety in design and Australian water industry standards* Ability to coordinate multiple engineering disciplines across geographic locations* Ability to mentor early or mid-career professionals* Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines* Flexibility to travel to project sites as required
