Job Title: Junior Guide

A Summer of Adventure Awaits

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Junior Guide to join our team for the upcoming summer season. As a Junior Guide, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced team, helping to create memorable experiences for guests on our guided tours.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead or assist with guided kayaking and walking tours, as well as e-bike rentals.
  • Share engaging stories and local knowledge about the ecology, history, and environment of the area.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and connect with guests from all over the world.
  • Help with "back-of-house" tasks, including equipment maintenance, cleaning, and preparing food for tours.
  • Promote conservation by picking up rubbish and educating guests on environmental stewardship.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Be an experienced and comfortable kayaker (training will be provided to upskill).
  • Be strong and able to lift and move kayaks and other equipment.
  • Enjoy talking to people and have experience in customer service.
  • Be passionate about the environment and love working outdoors.
  • Be a great team player who can work collaboratively with senior guides.
  • Be a morning person who can start early (most mornings begin between 6 and 7 AM).
  • Can work a flexible, casual schedule between Tathra and Eden.

Benefits:

  • Training will be provided in September/October.
  • The pay is based on the appropriate award wage under the miscellaneous award.

Other Information:

This is a casual, seasonal position with work beginning in October. The perfect opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience and enjoy the beautiful outdoors while doing so.
