Maintenance Technician

Our client is a leading global provider of engineering and technology solutions, operating across multiple sectors including infrastructure, power generation, oil and gas, wastewater, metals, mining, and transportation.

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to support their rotating equipment team in Newcastle. With a proven track record, these individuals have the potential to lead into permanent, full-time positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of workshop-based tasks involving rotating mechanical equipment, fans, ventilation, and compression
  • General fitting, overhauls, modifications, fitting, and measuring of bearings and shafts, testing
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • A strong attitude and willingness to learn, with a focus on safety and quality
  • Experience in fixed plant rotating equipment is highly regarded
  • Manual machining experience is desirable but not essential
  • Dogging and Forklift Ticket is highly regarded
  • A genuine commitment to safety and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent work references that can support your application
