About the Project

The Midland Station Cale Street Project is a complex infrastructure development being delivered by The Midland Junction Alliance, a consortium of leading companies in the industry. The project involves the design and construction of a new rail line network, requiring the coordination of multiple stakeholders and the implementation of cutting-edge engineering solutions.

About the Role

This role will see you working as an Electrical Project Coordinator, responsible for overseeing the electrical engineering activities of the project. You will be part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer electrical engineering activities to ensure project implementation in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor progress for adherence to programs and interpret and improve designs for implementation in the construction of your discipline within the project.
  • Oversee the installation of new electrical equipment and systems with precision and expertise.
  • Manage cost-effective, compliant services construction from design to commissioning.
  • Manage schedules, resolve issues, and deliver monthly reports.
  • Prepare and review electrical designs, including schematics, diagrams, and layouts.
  • Promote safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and implement preventative measures to mitigate hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients.
  • Provide general technical assistance to supervisory personnel.
  • Resolve RFIs and Non-Conformances and manage stakeholder's deliverables to closure.
  • Oversee the entire commissioning process, including planning, execution, and final handover of all electrical and communications assets.
  • Ensure all systems and equipment are tested, calibrated, and operational according to project specifications.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Services Coordinator/Engineer in the Australian building services sector.
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using electrical design software and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
