Outside School Hours Care Service Assistants play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children.

The Role
  • Deliver daily quality activities that promote learning, socialisation, and physical activity.
  • Supervise and support children during after-school care hours.
  • Prepare and serve healthy food options to meet the dietary needs of the children.
  • Create an engaging and happy environment that promotes socialisation and learning.
  • Build meaningful relationships with colleagues, children, families, school leaders, and the wider community.

Key skills and qualifications include strong communication and interpersonal skills, a focus on child safety and well-being, a Certificate III or higher in Children's Services (or equivalent), current Working with Children Check, and HLTAID012 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training.
