About the Role

Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta is seeking a dedicated and passionate Religious Education Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our school community, you will play a vital role in shaping the spiritual and educational journey of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality Religious Education programs that align with the Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta's strategic intent.
  • Lead a collaborative ministry of witness and service, fostering a culture of faith and learning within the school community.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the liturgical, sacramental, and spiritual life of the school, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the Parish Priest, parents, and other stakeholders to promote the Catholic faith and values.
  • Stay up-to-date with contemporary learning theory and practice, ensuring that Religious Education pedagogy is aligned with the school's mission and values.
Requirements
  • A strong commitment to the Catholic faith and its teachings.
  • A minimum of four years' professional qualification in education.
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education and a Master's degree in Religious Education/Theology or a related field.
  • Substantial currency in Religious Education pedagogy and knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum.
  • An understanding of contemporary learning theory and practice.
  • Capacity to lead and inspire a school community that gives witness to the Catholic faith and its values.
