Job Opportunity: HSIE Teacher

Tradewind Australia is working closely with a co-educational Catholic School in the western suburbs of Sydney to find a qualified HSIE teacher for a 12-month contract starting in term 4. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to teach religious education and studies of religion, as well as an additional subject area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach secondary religious education, including studies of religion
  • Teach an additional subject area
  • Respond to a dynamic learning environment
  • Develop a relational approach to colleagues, students, and parents
  • Organise and manage administrative and assessment requirements
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Achieve strong academic results
Requirements:
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
  • Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references
